Update: One thing I did forget to mention was that since about a week before it died completely, it would randomly reboot while in use. I am at my wits end and any help would be greatly appreciated! This is supposed to be a military grade motherboard and hence I want to believe that the motherboard is not fried. Tried all steps without CPU in the socket Taken out motherboard battery and put them back in Reset by changing jumper from 1-2 to 2-3 and back Tried all the steps with 3 different working PSUs Tried all the steps with and without GPU Tried all steps with 0, 1, 2 RAM DIMMs in slot. The PC will hang with no display when the red led light up. Here are a few things I have already tried: skip towards the end if you just want to. If I plug in the 8-pin CPU power the problem repeats I have finally found a way to fix the main cause of my issue on this motherboard and wanted to share with you guys. So before I go spending more money I wonder if the problem could be the PSU, CPU or RAM. My PSU is only 450watt and instead of having an 24-pin and 8-pin power connector it has the 24-pin and a 4-pin connector. One thing that I have been thinking could also be the issue is the Power Supply. I checked the compatibility charts that came with the board and my RAM and CPU are both listed on there so I'm a bit baffled. I'm not sure if the Motherboard is the issue or not because the same thing is happening with two separate boards. I also flash updated the BIOS per ASUS suggestion to version 2501. I even cycled through the RAM to see if any single stick was bad but the same thing. I doubled checked that the CPU was seated correctly and there were no bent pins. The DRAM_LED light and the CPU_LED light continue to blink. That board came in today and I hooked it up and the same thing happened. I jumped on support with ASUS and they determined it was a bad board so I RMAd it with Newegg and got a replacement. I stripped it down to one stick of RAM in the A2 slot according to the manual and even removed it from the case but the same thing happened and the two LEDs kept blinking. Put in the CPU and RAM and when I turned it on it would not post and the CPU_LED and DRAM_LED lights flashed. I purchased a Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 motherboard in order to replace a board that suddenly died on me.
